I provide individual counselling to children, youth and adults. I am bilingual and provide services in Cantonese or English.

Do you or your kid spend alot of time caught up in negative thoughts or imaging the worst case scenario over and over? Do you or your kid struggle to get out of bed in the morning and make it to school/work on time? Perhaps you’re washing, checking or cleaning a lot and don’t know how to stop? Or you could be having difficulty talking to others because you feel “too shy”, embarrassed, anxious or depressed. Maybe you’re struggling with just getting by day by day. Well, you have come to the right place. I am here to support you. There is something better out there for you, and I can help you learn how to not just survive but thrive.

I create a safe space for people to talk about their concerns and feelings. Often times this includes feelings of sadness, worrying, stress and low self esteem. Or you could be having intrusive, obsessive thoughts and repeating actions you might not really want to do or feel you have control over (washing, cleaning, counting).

I can teach you/your kids how to “talk back” against negative thoughts, experience calmness and acceptance, see their emotions in a different light, and complete some of the tasks they have been scared of, avoided or been unable to do previously.

My goal is to support you/your kids in whatever your goals might be. Often that includes challenging negative thoughts, regulating emotions, showing grace and compassion for yourself, breaking old patterns and cultivating a deeper awareness of your sense of self in relation to the world.

Having been in therapy myself and starting at a young age, I strive to be the compassionate, supportive, empathetic and accountable therapist I always wanted and have received.

The therapeutic space can be a healing one, and I aim to cultivate that with you. Your emotions, burdens, concerns and pain are always welcome here. Please come as you are. You are whole and you are deserving- even if the world, others and/or you don’t feel that way…yet. I can help you get there.

In my spare time I enjoy watching anime, listening to music, cooking for those I love, spending time with my rabbit (Jojo), and meditating.

Dmitry Zabrodskiy (RP) provides individual and family therapy to children, youth and adults.

I take a holistic approach to helping clients achieve their goals by helping them create a healthy balance between mind and body. I am trained in multiple therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and others, and will help you uncover the patterns of thoughts and behaviours that may be hindering your personal growth. Over the years, I have helped children, adults, families, and couples move towards a better future by building a trusting, caring and understanding relationship with my clients, and helping them replace unhelpful behaviours and beliefs with ones that make sense for them. Let me help you become the best version of yourself that you can be.

Before working as a psychotherapist, I spent years working with a veterinary agency where I helped hundreds of sick cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, and even a pet rat named Heidi, get better. When I am not at work helping my client’s achieve positive change, you can most likely find me outside enjoying the sun on a tennis court or on a bicycle trail.
